Star Soap is a small UK business. This page explains what we do with your information, in plain English.
What we collect
- Order details — your name, delivery address, email address and phone number, so we can send you your soap and tell you it is on the way.
- Payment details — handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
- Emails you send us — kept so we can answer you and refer back if you write again.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or pass your details to anyone for marketing. We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked for them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
Who else sees your data
- Royal Mail — your name and delivery address, to deliver the parcel.
- Our payment provider — to take the payment securely.
- Our email provider — to send order confirmations and replies.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for six years, because HMRC requires it. Everything else is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Cookies
The shop uses cookies that are strictly necessary to make the basket and checkout work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email rosen@starsoap.co.uk and we will deal with it within a month. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
